The farm is located in Cerqua, in Umbria, in the heart of central Italy, a few steps from the small town of Fontignano. Terre delle Cerqua is spread over 42 hectares of olive groves, pastures and woods in a single body that extends on one side of the splendid Montali hill, behind Lake Trasimeno, between Perugia, Panicale and Città della Pieve in an area highly suited to olive cultivation.
The geographical location in the western part of Umbria not far from Lake Trasimeno ensures mild climatic conditions without strong temperature changes throughout the year. The very permeable stony ground, the privileged southern exposure of the olive groves, the perfect solar radiation throughout the year and the altitude of the olive groves located between 300 and 430 meters above sea level are optimal basic conditions for production of an extra virgin olive oil with nutritional and organoleptic properties of the highest level.
